A recipe from a blog, a supplier's email with their prices, or whatever you generated with AI. Messy formatting is fine.

How it works

Three steps, and the last one is yours

The AI proposes; you decide. Never the other way around.

    Pick your way in. Upload the file or paste the text. No need to tidy it up or give it a particular format first.

  2. 2

    The AI works out what it is. It tells a recipe from a supplier or a smallwares list and builds the draft with every field filled in: name, category, servings, ingredients and steps.

  3. 3

    You review and confirm. Fix whatever needs fixing and decide which ingredient in your pantry each line maps to, or create a new one. On confirm, the recipe lands with its costing already calculated.

Nothing is saved until you press the button. If something doesn't add up, you fix it before it lands — or it doesn't land.

AI Importer

Which formats does it take today?
Photos (of notebooks, cookbooks, magazines or supplier cards), PDF and CSV, with an 8 MB cap per file. Plus pasted text, with no format requirements: messy is fine.
Can I upload an Excel or Word file directly?
Not yet. Export the sheet to CSV or the document to PDF, or simply take a photo of the page: all three work today. Direct Excel and Word support will come later.
What if the AI gets it wrong?
You fix it before it exists. The Importer never saves anything on its own: it proposes a draft and you review it field by field — name, category, servings, quantities — and decide which pantry ingredient each line maps to, or whether to create a new one. Only what you confirm gets in.
Does it calculate the cost on import?
Yes. The recipe lands with its costing done, including sub-preparations, which you can create nested as intermediate preparations or flatten into a single record. Do check the prices of any new ingredients afterwards: the cost is only as good as the price behind each one.
Does Miselup generate recipes with AI?
No. Miselup runs the business behind the recipe: cost, margin, allergens, scaling and traceability. To create them there's AI Chef Pro, our sister platform with 55+ AI tools for chefs, and the Importer is the bridge between the two.
