Mise attachments and calculator: analyze and check

Attach images, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, MD or TXT to Mise. Check the limits and how its calculator operates on business figures.

Updated on October 13, 2026

How do I attach a document to analyze its figures?

Open AI for your business → Mise Agent. Use the paperclip in the message box or drag files onto it. You can also paste an image from the clipboard.

Write what you want to review, wait for uploads to finish and send the message. For example, compare a supplier list’s unit prices or summarize a document’s amounts. Before sending, you can remove an attachment with its ×.

Which formats and sizes does Mise accept?

TypeAccepted formatsMaximum per file
ImagePNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP5 MB
DocumentPDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, MD (Markdown), TXT10 MB

The limit is five attachments per message. Sizes correspond to 5 × 1,024 × 1,024 and 10 × 1,024 × 1,024 bytes. Empty files are rejected. For more files, split the analysis across messages; if one exceeds the size limit, prepare a smaller version.

Legacy DOC and XLS formats are not on the list: save a copy as DOCX or XLSX, or use PDF/CSV as appropriate. A text message can contain up to 4,000 characters; attachments have their own limits.

What document content does Mise receive?

Images and PDFs are sent for visual reading. Text is extracted from DOCX and XLSX; CSV, MD and TXT are read as text. Extracted text is limited to 40,000 characters per document and is truncated if longer.

For a long document, prepare the relevant excerpt or rows. Uploading a file does not guarantee that all its data will be interpreted correctly: check names, units and amounts before making a decision.

Does attaching a delivery note import ingredients or prices?

Attachments are for analysis and interpretation, not automatic catalog import. Uploading a file does not create preparations or save prices.

If Mise proposes an ingredient, supplier or supplier-price change, review and confirm its card to execute it, as explained in what Mise can do. To bring in a preparation as a draft, use the AI Importer.

Does Mise use a calculator for exact calculations?

Yes. Mise has a calculator that executes operations in code. It is used for derived figures: conversions, price per kg or unit, sums, differences, percentages, margins and projections. If a query already returns a computed figure, Mise can use that result.

Inputs must come from your queried data or what you supply in the message or document. The calculator does not fill in a missing figure or independently correct a misread input.

A fictional example: “The box contains 24 units and costs 18 excluding tax. Calculate the unit price and show the operation.” The operation is 18 ÷ 24 = 0.75 per unit. Always specify units and whether amounts include tax so comparisons use the same basis.

How do I check the result?

Ask for the inputs and operation. Under See what I checked, you can review the tools used, including the calculator. Compare the result with the original file: a correct calculation also needs correct input figures.

Messages follow the Mise credit system.
