Changing the language, the currency and the country
Where to switch the interface language, the currency your costs run in and your business's country, and what each one affects.

Where do I change Miselup’s language?
In Account → My profile, in the «Language» selector. There are two options, Español and English, and the change applies instantly across the whole app. Miselup describes it as the interface language, and more languages are coming.
The language affects the app’s own text: menus, buttons, labels and messages. It doesn’t translate your content: the names of your ingredients, your recipes and your notes stay exactly as you wrote them.
Where do I change the currency I work in?
In Account → Company, in the «Working currency» section, field «Operating currency». Miselup offers 16 currencies: EUR, USD, GBP, MXN, COP, PEN, CLP, ARS, BRL, UYU, DOP, CRC, GTQ, CHF, CAD and RSD (Serbian dinar). The list grows with the markets our customers work in: if yours isn’t there, write to us and we’ll look into it. Then press «Save changes».
You normally won’t need to touch it: the account is created with the currency that matches the country you picked at sign-up. Only if we don’t know your country’s currency yet does the account start in euros and you set it here.
That currency is the one used across all your ingredient prices, your costings and your business’s selling prices. Your Miselup subscription is billed separately, always in euros.
Does changing currency convert my prices?
No. Changing the Operating currency changes the currency Miselup displays and stores your amounts in, but it doesn’t reconvert the figures you already typed: an ingredient at 8.50 simply reads as 8.50 in the new currency. If you move currency with data already loaded, go back over your ingredients’ purchase prices and your selling prices.
The one exception is the reference prices in Miselup’s built-in catalog: those are converted into your organisation’s currency using exchange rates that refresh every week.
Where do I set my business’s country?
You pick your country when you create the account, and your phone country codes, your working currency and your time zone all come from it. To correct it afterwards go to Account → Company, inside «Billing address», to the «Country» field —a dropdown, not free text—. That block also covers the street address, the city, the province and the postal code, and it’s the address of the entity being billed.
The country isn’t decorative: from it (together with the postal code) Miselup derives the site’s time zone, and that time zone is what determines the day of every entry in your HACCP book.
What if my time zone isn’t the one Miselup derives?
In Account → Company → «Site health-registration details» there’s the «Site time zone (optional)» field, showing the current zone and where it comes from (derived from your country or declared manually). Only change it if the derivation gets it wrong — the classic case is a site in the Canary Islands with a mainland billing address. Once you declare it manually, the site stops following the country and postal code when you change them.
Known limits
- The language is stored in the browser you change it from, for a year, not in your account. If you sign in from another device or clear your cookies, pick it again there.
- Only the owner or an administrator can edit the currency and the country, because they live on the Company page.
- The autonomous community is deliberately not inferred from the postal code. You declare it by hand in the health-registration details: a wrong code would invent a legal duty that isn’t yours. Leave it undeclared and the national baseline applies.
