Invoices, card and charges
Miselup is paid by card through Stripe: here is where to download your invoices and what happens when a charge fails.
Updated on September 3, 2026
How do I pay for Miselup?
Miselup is paid by card through Stripe, which is the platform’s only payment gateway. Payment starts from Account → Billing: you pick a plan and a billing period, and Miselup takes you to Stripe’s secure screen. The amounts for each plan are on the pricing page.
Does the invoice include VAT? Can I add my company’s VAT number?
Miselup’s prices are excluding VAT. At checkout, Stripe adds the tax that applies in your country: in Spain +21% VAT; outside the EU, no tax. On Stripe’s payment screen itself there is a field for your tax ID / VAT number (needed for the reverse charge within the EU) and you will be asked for a billing address.
Your business’s tax details —legal name, tax ID, billing email and registered address— are saved under Account → Company.
Where do I see and download my Miselup invoices?
Under Account → Billing, press the «Manage billing» button. Your Stripe billing portal opens, and from there you can, as the app itself puts it: «Update your default card, download your invoices, or cancel your plan whenever you want.»
The portal is available as long as your organization has been through checkout at least once, whether the subscription is active, canceled or has a payment due. Only the owner or an admin sees it.
Where do I enter a promo code?
On Stripe’s payment screen. Miselup’s checkout has the promotion code field enabled, so the coupon goes in there before you confirm the payment, not in the dashboard.
What happens if a payment fails?
Miselup gives you room before touching anything:
- Stripe marks the subscription as «Payment due» and retries the charge. During that window you keep your plan and your access.
- A notice appears in Billing, «There’s a payment due», with the «Update payment in Stripe» button to change the card and reactivate.
- If the charge isn’t recovered and Stripe marks the subscription as «Unpaid» or «Canceled», your organization starts behaving like the Free plan: you lose the AI, the full data download and your plan’s cap, and recipes over Free’s cap of 50 go read-only.
- Your data is never deleted. As soon as you settle the payment, the status goes back to active and everything unlocks on its own.
Do Mise credit top-ups get an invoice too?
Yes. Every Mise credit top-up generates its own invoice with the tax broken out, separate from the plan subscription, and you will find it in the same Stripe billing portal. The details of the top-up are in Mise credits.
Known limits
- Card only, via Stripe. There is no bank transfer or direct debit today. If
you are a group or a chain with special needs, email
hola@miselup.pro. - The subscription is billed in euros even if your operating currency in Miselup is another one: the working currency affects ingredients, costings and selling prices, not your Miselup invoice.
- The payment figure that counts is the one in the Stripe portal. The current-plan card in Billing shows the list monthly price, so if you pay annually you will see the amount actually charged in the portal.
- Only the owner or an admin can manage billing; other roles don’t see these actions.
