Downloading all your organization's data

Where do I download all my Miselup data?

In the dashboard, under Account → Billing. Scroll down to the «Your data is yours» card and press the button that downloads all your data.

1. Go to Account → Billing as the owner or an admin.
2. Find the «Your data is yours» card, below the plan grid.
3. Press the button that downloads all your data and wait for it to stop spinning: Miselup walks through every one of your tables before generating the file.
4. Your browser downloads the file on its own. Save it wherever you keep your backups.

What does the data download include?

Everything your organization has created, table by table:

• Final recipes, intermediate preparations and their lines of ingredients, preparations, smallwares, techniques and consumables.
• Ingredients, consumables, smallwares, techniques, yield losses, declared allergens, categories and your own units.
• Suppliers, current price lists and purchase price history.
• Customers, sales orders, catering events with their logistics, timeline, quote versions and payments.
• À la carte menus, set menus and buffets with their sections and lines.
• P&L management: daily sales, expenses, fixed costs and budgets.
• Inventory: locations, stock, movements and lots.
• Purchase orders and production orders with their lines.
• HACCP: plan, control points, limits, frequencies, the records book, the equipment, its temperature readings and the attachments.
• Team (members’ name, email and role) and your conversations with Mise Agent.

What format does the file come in?

It comes as a single .json file whose name includes your organization’s identifier. Inside, each data set is an entry with all its rows, plus a note explaining what has and hasn’t been included. It is a format designed so you can load it into another tool or keep it as a complete backup.

What is NOT included in the download?

• Miselup’s built-in catalog (ingredients, sample recipes and the shared reference rows your data points to). It belongs to the platform, not to your organization.
• The team portal PINs: they are your staff’s access secret, not a business record, and for security they stay out of the file.

What do I need in order to export?

Two things: the owner or admin role and an active subscription (the grace window while a payment is due counts too). If your subscription isn’t active, Miselup tells you: «The full data export is available with an active subscription. Update your payment in Billing to export.» Your data hasn’t been deleted — once you settle up, the download comes back.

Can I ask an AI to run the export?

Yes. The Super MCP Connector exposes the data export as just another tool, so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT for it if you have the connector set up. How to connect it is in connecting Claude or ChatGPT.

Known limits

• The format is JSON, not Excel. For spec sheets in PDF or CSV use exporting and printing spec sheets; for the food-safety document, the HACCP records book.
• The file carries the data on your records, not the image files. The photos and videos you have uploaded stay hosted in Miselup.
• If any table couldn’t be read, the file says so in a section of its own and warns that it is incomplete, instead of silently returning that table empty. If you see that warning, run the download again.
