Sales orders: from agreed price to delivery
Create client orders, confirm prices and totals, generate production according to your plan and prepare delivery notes with lots and controlled delivery.
Updated on October 13, 2026
Clients, agreed prices, Events and Sales orders are available from Mise Essential, with no usage limits. Generating production from an order and deducting stock on delivery require Mise Pro or Mise Pro HACCP.
Where do I create a sales order?
Under Operations → Sales, press “New order” and choose a client. You can also create it under “Sales orders” in their record. You need at least one client: see clients and agreed prices.
Under “Order details”, save the number, delivery date and address, external reference and internal notes. Internal notes do not appear on the delivery note.
How do I add products and which price does the order use?
In Draft, press “Add line” and choose a final or intermediate preparation, a format where relevant, quantity and unit price. You can specify the delivery-note description and line notes.
The selector can propose the client’s agreed price or the record’s suggested price; you can also enter it manually. If no price is available, the line stays pending. Check the source and amount: a suggested price does not replace what you agreed with the client.
What happens on confirmation and what are the statuses?
“Confirm order” requires at least one line and a price for every line. Confirmation freezes lines, prices and total: later pricing or costing changes do not alter them.
The flow is Draft → Confirmed → In production → Delivered → Settled. You can cancel from Draft or Confirmed; cancelled orders cannot be reactivated. Only drafts and cancelled orders can be deleted.
How do I generate production from the order?
From Confirmed, if no production order is linked and your plan permits production, press “Generate production”. This is available with Mise Pro or Mise Pro HACCP. If yields are missing, units cannot be converted or a quantity is invalid, the screen shows which lines need correcting.
Open a linked order with “View production order”. For production work and component consumption, see production orders. Changing a sales order’s status does not mean its preparations have been produced.
How do I prepare the delivery note and outgoing lots?
From Confirmed you can print “Delivery note”, without prices, or “Priced delivery note”. Draft and Cancelled have no delivery note. These are working documents, not fiscal invoices.
Under “Delivery lots”, assign each line an existing lot for the item or a manual code and, if needed, a quantity. A manual code identifies what goes out; it does not itself create inventory stock.
Does marking an order delivered deduct stock?
From In production, press “Mark delivered”. If your plan permits inventory (Mise Pro or Mise Pro HACCP), you can select “Deduct assigned lots from stock”. It uses assigned lots first, then those with the nearest expiry (FEFO).
Only preparations held in inventory with compatible units are deducted. Final preparations and items outside inventory are not deducted; the delivery message reports deductions and skipped lines. Delivery is stamped even when there is nothing to deduct. Ingredient consumption during production and preparations leaving stock at delivery are different movements.
What is its availability and which systems does it work alongside?
With Mise Essential you can confirm orders, prepare delivery notes and record delivery without deducting stock. See pricing to compare the other features.
Miselup is not a POS or fiscal invoicing system. Saving a reference to another system does not create an integration; fiscal invoicing is handled in your invoicing system.
