Closing and deleting your account
Deletion is requested by email today. Download your data and cancel your subscription first: it can't be undone.

How do I delete my Miselup account?
Today there is no delete button inside the dashboard: closure is requested by
emailing info@miselup.pro from the account owner’s address, stating that
you want to exercise your right to erasure and giving the name of the
organization. That is the channel set out in
Miselup’s privacy policy.
The team confirms the request in writing before doing anything, because deletion
can’t be undone.
What should I do BEFORE requesting deletion?
Three things, in this order:
- Download all your data. The full file is generated from Account → Billing and requires an active subscription, so download it before you cancel the plan. How to do it, step by step, is in downloading all your organization’s data.
- Save your food-safety documentation if your business needs it. The HACCP records book is documentation you are legally required to keep: print it or export it before closing (the HACCP records book).
- Cancel the subscription from the «Manage billing» button under Account → Billing. Deleting the organization does not cancel the charge in Stripe on its own.
What exactly gets deleted?
Everything that belongs to your organization gets deleted: recipes and preparations, ingredients, consumables, smallwares and techniques, suppliers and prices, customers and events, à la carte menus, set menus and buffets, inventory, lots, purchasing and production, your P&L management data, the HACCP plan and book, team members and their access, and your conversations with Mise Agent. Any public links you had shared for recipes or for your offer also stop working.
There is no trash and no undo: once it has run, the only copy of your data will be the file you downloaded beforehand.
Is my login email deleted too?
Not automatically. Your login identity carries on existing after the organization is deleted, and that has an upside: you can sign back in with the same email and the same password and create a brand-new organization from scratch. If that is exactly what you want —bin the test account and start the real one— say so in the email. And if you would rather your login identity was removed as well, ask for it explicitly.
What about my invoices?
Invoices already issued and the payment history are kept: they are accounting records with their own legal retention period and they don’t depend on your account still existing. You can still download them while you have access to the billing portal, so save them before you close (see invoices, card and charges).
What if I just want to stop paying, not delete anything?
Then don’t request closure: cancel the subscription from «Manage billing» and your organization moves to the Free plan when the paid period ends. Your data stays where it is; recipes over the Free plan’s cap of 50 simply go read-only until you return to a paid plan. The details are in Miselup’s plans and how to switch between them.
Known limits
- There is no self-service. Deletion is carried out by hand by the Miselup team, after confirming the request with the account owner.
- Deleting the account doesn’t cancel the charge. If you leave the subscription alive in Stripe, it would keep billing you: cancel it yourself before requesting closure.
- The data download stops being available without an active subscription, so the order matters: export first, cancel second, and request deletion last.
- The request has to come from the organization’s owner; a closure requested by a user who isn’t the owner won’t be processed.
